President's Message:
Dear Members
It gives me great pride to welcome you all back for another exciting year. As incoming President of American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) NY Metro I am honored to again serve the chapter for what I think is one of the most exciting and informative organizations within our industry. Each of you has put your trust in me and our Board Members to lead this chapter as we enter our 6th year. Our Board of Directors has assembled an excellent program for 2009/2010 of exciting and innovative presentations.
Our membership continues to reach new levels expanding our knowledge base which leverages us to make a difference in industry changes and a solid presence in the New York Metro area. With close to 200 members I urge each of you to take full advantage of your memberships by attending the line up of excellent presentations. They are great networking opportunities with your colleagues and most provide professional development credits.
We will continue to expand on new initiatives as we have done previously with our student chapters and scholarship programs.
ASHE NY Metro wishes to thank all or our corporate sponsors for supporting this years section. It is with your help and generosity that continues to make this organization in my opinion the strongest and best one in the industry.
I want to thank Thomas Tehrani our past President for his efforts of the past two years in developing a strong chapter and welcome the support of our newly appointed Board Members and our entire Membership for continuing to make this organization as successful in the future and it has been in the past.
Again I want to thank each and every one of you for being apart of the ASHE NY Metro Section and being here tonight to show your support to our organization.
Sincerely,
Glen Kartalis, PE President
ASHE NY Metro
